ECISD Trustees to Consider New Hires, Campus Leadership at Special Meeting

EDINBURG TX – The Edinburg CISD Board of Trustees is set to consider a series of new hires and leadership appointments during a special called meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 19, at 6 p.m.

Among the personnel matters on the agenda, trustees will deliberate on filling several key positions across campuses and departments. These include a new principal for Crawford Elementary School, a director of facilities for the district’s maintenance and facilities department, and a coordinator of legal and Title IX within the personnel department.

Additional positions up for consideration include a financial aid officer and head soccer coach at Edinburg High School, counselors for Hargill and Truman elementary schools, a social worker at Betts/Esparza Elementary, a migrant coordinator for the Federal Programs Department, and a curriculum assistant at Austin Elementary.

The board will also review the superintendent’s personnel update and discuss proposed terminations of three at-will employees.

Aside from staffing, the agenda includes action items on technology purchases, software renewals, and district policy revisions. Trustees are also expected to hear a health update from the Hidalgo County Health Authority and review library materials guidance tied to recent legislation.

The meeting will take place at the Edinburg CISD administration building.
