Library to Offer Free U.S. Citizenship Preparation Classes

EDINBURG, TX – The Dustin M. Sekula Memorial Library will host free U.S. citizenship preparation classes beginning Aug. 28, offering instruction in civics, U.S. history and exam strategies for individuals seeking to become citizens.

Spanish-language classes will be held every Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., starting Aug. 28 and continuing through Nov. 13. Bilingual classes will take place every Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., beginning Aug. 30 and running through Nov. 15.

All sessions will be held at the library, located at 1906 S. Closner Blvd. Participants are encouraged to register by calling 956-383-6246.

The Dustin M. Sekula Memorial Library provides educational resources and programs to support lifelong learning for the Edinburg community.
