EDINBURG TX – The City of Edinburg has completed construction of a new 1-million-gallon water tower aimed at enhancing water service and pressure for residents in the northern part of the city.

The tower, located near Monte Cristo Road and Closner Boulevard, is part of a broader infrastructure improvement project that began in November 2023. In addition to the tower, the project included the installation of approximately 1,800 linear feet of new water line to support the system.

City officials will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 10 a.m. at 3925 N. Business Highway 281. Residents and members of the media are invited to attend the event and learn more about the enhancements to Edinburg’s water infrastructure.

The new water tower is expected to boost storage capacity and improve water pressure reliability for the surrounding community.
