Edinburg to host 5th Annual Dirty Duathlon at Doolittle Nature Park

Edinburg, TX – The City of Edinburg Parks and Recreation Department will host the 5th Annual Dirty Duathlon on April 11 at Doolittle Nature Park. The race will begin at 7:30 a.m. and will feature a multi-stage course designed for runners and cyclists.
Race format
The duathlon will consist of three segments beginning with a 1.5-mile run, followed by a 3-mile bike ride and concluding with another 1.5-mile run. Participants will complete the course through the trails and grounds of Doolittle Nature Park, located at 1300 N. Doolittle Road.
Event organizers said bicycle helmets will be required for the cycling portion of the race.
Registration details
Registration fees are listed as $20 for individual participants and $30 for relay teams. Participants who register for the event will receive a race bib, event shirt and finisher medal.
Organizers also plan to present awards for various age divisions following the completion of the race.

The Dirty Duathlon is organized by the Edinburg Parks and Recreation Department as part of the city’s outdoor recreation programming. Officials said the event is intended to provide a competitive and recreational opportunity for residents interested in endurance sports.
