The $5.1 million endeavor was a two-phase project that included the demolition and reconstruction of the Edinburg Municipal Pool House. The structure, originally built in 1954, has been replaced with a completely new 3,665 square-foot building that features family, men, and women’s restrooms with showers, a cashier/concession space, and a designated lifeguard room.

Phase 2 of the redevelopment focused on the design and construction of a new 16,800 square

foot inclusive splash pad known as ‘Pirate’s Cove’ to match its adventurous theme. The community will be able to enjoy all that the splash pad has to offer during their visits, including an interactive pirate ship, tropical water features, and an aquatic wheelchair ramp.

The community is invited to join city officials at the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 125 Mark S. Pena Drive (Palm Drive) as the city prepares for the grand opening just in time for summer.
