Edinburg Announces Holiday Garbage Schedule; Offices, Recycling Center to Close Dec. 24–25

Edinburg, TX – Edinburg officials are reminding residents of adjusted facility hours as the city observes Christmas Eve and Christmas Day on Wednesday, Dec. 24, and Thursday, Dec. 25. While city offices and the Regional Sanitary Landfill will close for the holiday, regular residential and commercial garbage collection will continue without schedule changes.

Residents are asked to place containers curbside by 7 a.m. and remove them after service.

The Edinburg Recycling Center will be closed both Dec. 24 and 25, reopening Friday, Dec. 26, from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Regional Sanitary Landfill will also reopen on Dec. 26, operating from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Brush collection will run as scheduled, continuing through the week of Dec. 22 for Area 4.
