Edinburg, TX – The City of Edinburg has announced the winners of its annual Deck the House Holiday Decorating Contest, recognizing standout residential displays across five categories.
The awards were presented this week by the Edinburg Parks and Recreation Department, which organizes the annual event to highlight community participation during the Christmas season. The Christmas Spirit Award — the contest’s best overall honor — went to Josue Flores of 3825 S. Rhonda Street.
Theodore Karides of 2108 Nickel Drive received the Rudolph Award for the city’s brightest display.
Ernesto Jimenez of 1501 E. Thompson Road earned the Holiday Classic Award for an elegant, traditional presentation.
Nora Aguilar of 3515 Duchess Street won Whoville’s Choice, which honors a festive, classic holiday theme.
In the creativity-focused Buddy the Elf category, Andy Ramirez of 3824 N. Gwin Road took top recognition.
City officials said dozens of residents participated, helping illuminate neighborhoods throughout the community.
