Texas Supreme Court Reappoints Hinojosa to Judicial Tech Panel

Staff Report
Edinburg TX – The Texas Supreme Court has reappointed Hidalgo County District Clerk Laura Hinojosa as a voting member of the state’s Judicial Committee on Information Technology, marking her 12th year on the panel.
“It has been an honor to serve on the JCIT since 2013 and to see all of the progress that we’ve made over the years,” Hinojosa said. “I look forward to continuing to serve in this capacity alongside my honorable colleagues to continue improving the use of technology in our courts.”
The committee establishes standards and guidelines for integrating technology in Texas trial and appellate courts. It also convenes judges, clerks, attorneys and local governments to review, propose and implement technology standards and to develop statewide rules for tools such as e-filing. Officials credit that collaboration with strengthening statewide systems, including eFileTexas.
