Edinburg to Host 5th Annual 9/11 Memorial Run and Walk

EDINBURG, TX – The City of Edinburg will hold its 5th Annual Patriot Day of Remembrance 9/11 Memorial Run on Saturday, Sept. 6, beginning at 7:45 a.m., followed by a free Honorary Walk at 9:11 a.m. to honor those who lost their lives in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

The start and finish line will be at Edinburg Fire Station 1, located at 212 W. McIntyre St. Registration for the run is $15 and can be completed online at activeedinburg.com. Packet pickup will be available at 315 Mark S. Peña Dr. on Sept. 4 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sept. 5 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on race day from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m.

The event is organized by the Edinburg Parks and Recreation Department in collaboration with the Edinburg Fire Department. For more information, call 956-381-5631.
