Edinburg Man Arrested After Early Morning Stabbing Incident

EDINBURG TX – A 48-year-old man was arrested by the Edinburg Police Department following a stabbing incident that occurred in the early hours of Saturday, May 24.

According to police, officers responded to Mission Regional Hospital at approximately 3:20 a.m., where a woman reported that her boyfriend, Eduardo Moralez, had stabbed her in the leg during an argument at a residence on the 2500 block of Ocotillo Avenue. The victim told authorities that both had been drinking and using narcotics before the altercation, which occurred around 1 a.m.

The woman was later transferred to McAllen Medical Center, where she remains in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

Moralez was located and taken into custody without incident. Authorities have not yet released details on pending charges.
