Sekula Library Announces September Children’s Programs

Edinburg TX – The Dustin M. Sekula Memorial Library has announced its September 2026 lineup of free children’s programs, with all materials included, according to the library.

Toddler Time will be held Tuesdays at 10 a.m., with themes including Monarch Butterfly on Sept. 1, Visiting the Library on Sept. 8, Dot Day on Sept. 15, Animal Sounds on Sept. 22, and Chickens on Sept. 29.

Pre-School Story Time will be held Fridays at 10 a.m., covering Sounds: Loud & Quiet on Sept. 4, Colorful Autumn on Sept. 11, My Body on Sept. 18, and Sense of Hearing on Sept. 25.

Homeschool Hour will be held Wednesdays at 11 a.m., covering Aerodynamics on Sept. 2, Bridge Building on Sept. 9, Mexican Independence Day on Sept. 16, Chemical Reactions on Sept. 23, and Mapmaking & Cartography on Sept. 30.

Creature Club will be held Thursdays at 6 p.m., featuring Buffaloes on Sept. 3, Monarch Butterflies on Sept. 10, National Cat Month on Sept. 17, and Opossums on Sept. 24.

Art Club will be held Mondays at 6 p.m., with a Grandparents Day theme on Sept. 14 and a DIY Leaf Wreath activity on Sept. 28.

Sensory Sunday will be held Sundays at 3 p.m., featuring Shaving Cream Painting on Sept. 6 and Sensory Feathers on Sept. 20.

Read Aloud with Fang will be held Friday, Sept. 11, at 4:30 p.m., offering an opportunity to register for the Fang’s Book Club and receive a free Vipers game day ticket.
