Edinburg Police to Host Women’s Self-Defense Course Next Week, Nov. 3–7

Edinburg, TX – The Edinburg Police Department is inviting women ages 18 and older to participate in a three-day self-defense course designed to build confidence and teach practical safety skills. The program will take place Nov. 3, 5, and 7 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Edinburg Police Training Facility, 1309 N. Doolittle Road.
The Women’s Self-Defense Course is part of the Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) Systems program, a nationally recognized initiative focused on teaching realistic self-defense tactics and techniques. Participants will receive hands-on instruction in awareness, prevention, and defensive strategies for a variety of situations.
The department encourages attendees to wear comfortable clothing and footwear for physical training. Registration is open online, and class sizes are limited.
