Edinburg Police to Host Coffee With a Cop Events Across City

EDINBURG, TX – The Edinburg Police Department is inviting residents to meet local officers over a cup of coffee this month during a series of community gatherings.
The “Coffee With a Cop” initiative offers the public an informal chance to connect with officers, ask questions and share concerns in a relaxed setting. No speeches or formal agenda are planned.
The department has scheduled five sessions at different locations across the city:
- Oct. 3, Sonic, 2222 W. University Dr., 8 to 10 a.m.
- Oct. 10, McDonald’s, 401 E. Trenton Rd., 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.
- Oct. 15, El Caporal 2, 2400 E. Richardson Rd., 8 to 10 a.m.
- Oct. 17, Starbucks, 2720 W. University Dr., 8 to 10 a.m.
- Oct. 27, Starbucks, 525 E. Trenton Rd., 8 to 10 a.m.
Organizers say the effort is part of a national movement aimed at building stronger relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
