Edinburg Opens Registration for Youth Fall Sports Leagues

EDINBURG, TX – The City of Edinburg Parks and Recreation Department is gearing up for its Youth Fall Sports Leagues, with registration set to begin Monday, Aug. 4, and run through Aug. 29.

The leagues offered this fall include flag football, girls volleyball, and tackle football:

• Flag Football will feature divisions for students in kindergarten through 5th grade. The registration fee is $45, with a tentative start date of Sept. 29.
• Girls Volleyball is open to participants from kindergarten to 6th grade, also with a registration fee of $45. The season is expected to begin Sept. 22.
• Tackle Football is exclusively for 6th graders, with a registration fee of $60 and a tentative season start date of Oct. 11.

Proof of school enrollment is required at the time of registration. Accepted documents include a report card, school ID, or a Skyward printout. Athletes will be placed on teams according to their school attendance boundaries.
