Edinburg to Host 5th Annual Triathlon on Aug. 10, Registration Deadline Aug. 6

EDINBURG TX – The City of Edinburg Parks and Recreation Department will host its 5th Annual Triathlon on Saturday, August 10, beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the Edinburg Municipal Pool.

Participants will compete in swimming, cycling, and running events across various age divisions. The competition includes three main categories: ages 12 and under, recreational for ages 13 and up, and a competitive division. Competitive athletes will swim 200 meters, cycle 9 miles, and run 2 miles. The swim portion will take place in the shallow end of the pool, with a 4-foot depth.

Registration is open through August 6 with a $25 fee. Spotters will be allowed, and age division awards will be given in the competitive category only.

Packet pickup is scheduled for August 7 and 8, and on race day, August 10, from 6 to 7:15 a.m. Participants can register online at activeedinburg.com.
