Final orientation session scheduled for Edinburg library citizenship program

Edinburg, TX – Residents seeking U.S. citizenship have one final opportunity to attend an upcoming orientation session for the City of Edinburg’s citizenship preparation program.
The Dustin M. Sekula Memorial Library will host bilingual orientation sessions on Saturday, Feb. 28, and Saturday, March 7, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The sessions are part of the library’s 2026 U.S. Citizenship Preparation Classes.
Program overview
The free classes are offered at the Dustin M. Sekula Memorial Library, 1906 S. Closner Blvd., and are designed to assist participants in preparing for the U.S. naturalization process. Instruction includes civics, U.S. history and exam preparation guidance.
Orientation sessions will be provided by the nonprofit organization Uniendo Naciones, Solo Por Servir. Participants must attend an orientation session before joining the program.
Session schedule
Regular class sessions will begin Saturday, March 28, and continue every Saturday through April 25. Spanish-language classes will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and bilingual classes will take place from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The program will conclude with a graduation ceremony scheduled for May 2.
