Precinct 4 Announces Road Closure On Tower Road For Drainage Improvements

EDINBURG – Hidalgo County Precinct 4 and the Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1 will be working on storm water improvements at Tower Road between Canton Road and Iowa Road as part of the 2022 drainage improvements projects.

In order to perform the drainage improvements and for the safety of the residents, the contractor will be closing Tower Road. between Canton Road and Iowa Road beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2022, through 10 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2022. Residents along these limits will still be able to access their homes and businesses.

While safety signage will be placed, motorists are urged to find alternate routes during the road closure and exercise extreme caution and patience when traveling along in the area. Motorists should expect some delays and congestion.
