STEMVest Donates $1,000 to Edinburg CISD for STEM Education Efforts

Edinburg, TX – Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District has received a $1,000 donation from STEMVest, a Texas-based nonprofit organization supporting science, technology, engineering and math education.

The check was presented by STEMVest President and Founder Aaron Joel George, who established the organization in September 2023 at age 16. The donation will support district initiatives aimed at expanding STEM opportunities for local students.

Since its founding, STEMVest has raised more than $15,000 to assist students in the Rio Grande Valley Colonias and has partnered with groups including Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley, the Food Bank of the RGV and the Texas A&M University Colonias Program. The organization also works with Texas A&M to promote cervical cancer awareness among women and girls in underserved communities.
