Edinburg Police to Host Two-Day Women’s Self-Defense Course

EDINBURG TX – The Edinburg Police Department will offer a free two-day Women’s Self-Defense Course on July 17 and July 19, aimed at equipping participants with practical skills for personal safety and empowerment.
The course, open to women ages 18 and older, will take place at the Edinburg Training Facility, located at 1309 N. Doolittle Road. Sessions will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 19.
Taught through the Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) Systems program, the course includes hands-on instruction in awareness, prevention, and basic self-defense techniques designed specifically for women.
Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for physical activity. Registration is required, and space is limited. Those interested can sign up at tinyurl.com/EPDefense1.
