Courtyard by Marriott Hotel Coming to Edinburg; Construction Set to Begin

EDINBURG TX — The City of Edinburg and the Edinburg Economic Development Corporation (EEDC) have announced the construction of a Courtyard by Marriott hotel, set to bring new lodging options and employment opportunities to the area.

The 70,065-square-foot facility, located at 700 E. Wisconsin Road, will feature 104 rooms, a large meeting space, a full kitchen, and various amenities catering to both business and leisure travelers. The hotel is expected to be completed within 24 months of the construction start date.

The $14 million project, led by Ocean Gate Hospitality, is projected to generate $4 to $5 million in annual revenuefor the city. Once operational, the hotel will provide 25 full-time jobs to the local workforce.

“We’ve brought so many new amenities to Edinburg in the past year that it’s only fitting that we work to provide people with a great place to stay while they’re here,” said Raudel Garza, Executive Director of EEDC. “Whether it’s to experience the restaurants and sights unique to our city, or taking part in a sports or music event, we want visitors to keep coming back.”

Ocean Gate Hospitality CEO Vinod Kasan echoed the enthusiasm, stating, “We look forward to bringing a high-quality lodging experience to Edinburg and welcoming guests for years to come.”

A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for Friday, March 7, 2025, at 2 p.m. City officials invite residents and media members to attend. The event will also be streamed live on the City of Edinburg’s Facebook page and Spectrum Channel 1300.
