Knife-wielding Stranger Knocks On Family’s Front Door

Edinburg TX, Oct 14, 2023 — A man with a knife in hand rang the doorbell and knocked on a family’s front door on October 10, leading to call to the Edinburg Police Department for assistance.

The incident started around 2:30 pm on October 10 at the 100 block of Marion Lane. The family noticed someone coming onto their property. The male subject was captured on video walking up to their front door as he puts on a pair of gloves while holding a knife in his hand. The male subject then rang the doorbell and knocked on the front door.

Since the family did not answer the front door, the suspect made his way to the backyard. That’s when the family called the police for help

The residents reported not knowing who the male was or what his intentions were. Through the investigation, the suspect was identified as 39-year-old Miguel Palomin of McAllen, Texas.

Shortly thereafter, an arrest warrant for Criminal Trespass (Class B Misdemeanor) was issued for Palomin. He is currently in the custody of the McAllen Police Department on unrelated charges.
