Memorial Middle School Lockdown lifted

EDINBURG – Edinburg CISD’s Memorial Middle School was placed on lockdown at Noon today due to a

suspicious person in a vehicle in a nearby neighborhood. However, the lock down has since been lifted.

According an Edinburg CISD spokesperson, “the suspect was never on school grounds. The scene is secure and the lockdown is lifted. Students were not in danger and are safe. The lockdown has been lifted.”

Memorial Middle School is located at 3105 N Doolittle Rd. in Edinburg. It has 1,100 students in grades 6th – 9th.
