Staff Report
Edinburg, TX – The City of Edinburg will host its annual UFO Festival & Conference Nov. 20–22 at the Edinburg Arts, Culture & Events Center (ACE Center), featuring a live stage appearance by cast members from the History Channel’s “Ancient Aliens,” community storytelling tied to Edinburg’s 1966 UFO incident, science programming and a downtown street celebration.
The three-day event opens with an open-mic night focused on the 1966 case, inviting residents to share firsthand and family accounts. On Friday, Nov. 21, the “Ancient Aliens Live” tour brings Giorgio A. Tsoukalos, Nick Pope and Jason Martell to the ACE Center for a discussion on ancient mysteries and extraterrestrial theories. Tickets start at $40, with separate VIP photo-op packages that include a group photo, digital download and signed poster, according to organizers.

Saturday programming features a Cosmos Panel and laser light show highlighting current astrophysics topics, including Comet 3I/ATLAS—the first known interstellar comet since ’Oumuamua—followed by additional laser shows. The schedule also includes a screening of “Experiencer,” a Nicco Renna documentary on reported encounters and their personal impacts.
The festival culminates with a downtown takeover that adds vendors, food trucks, carnival rides, LED displays and a nighttime laser show. An Intergalactic Fashion Show for adults, children and pets will award up to $1,000 in prizes, alongside performances from fire dancers, aerialists and costumed characters.
Organizers recommend arriving early for general seating at the Promenade Amphitheater, planning for parking near the ACE Center and downtown, and sharing photos using #UFOFestEdinburg and #AncientAliensLiveTX. Costumes are encouraged. Information and tickets are available at edinburgufo.com; the event is produced by the Edinburg Cultural Arts Division.
