EDINBURG, Texas — The City of Edinburg has postponed the Cool City Celebration originally scheduled for this weekend due to anticipated weather conditions.
City officials announced the free event, which highlights Earth Day, Arbor Day, National Community Development Week and Stormwater Awareness Week, will be rescheduled at a later date.
Event Postponement
Organizers stated the decision was made in response to forecasted weather conditions affecting the outdoor event planned at the Promenade Park Amphitheater.
The city indicated a new event date will be announced soon.
Planned Activities
The Cool City Celebration typically features tree adoptions, environmental education resources, vendor booths and community activities focused on sustainability and conservation.
