Com. Ellie Trevino Toy Giveaway Rescheduled for Monday, Dec. 22, at Alfonso Flores All Star Park

Edinburg, TX – Hidalgo County Precinct 4 and the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office have rescheduled their annual Toy Giveaway to Monday, Dec. 22, after weather conditions postponed the original event earlier in the week. The holiday celebration will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. at Alfonso Flores All Star Park, 107 N. Sunflower Road in Edinburg.

Precinct 4 Commissioner Ellie Torres and the Sheriff’s Office combined their toy drive efforts this year to expand the event and reach more families across the county. Organizers said the joint effort is intended to increase the number of children served and offer a larger community celebration.

The giveaway is free and open to Hidalgo County residents. Families attending can expect toys, food, snacks and drinks at no cost, along with holiday-themed activities. The event will include photos with Santa, games, rides, entertainment and booths offering resources and giveaways.

Sponsors and partners contributed to this year’s expanded format, helping provide food, supplies and activities.
