Edinburg library expands digital collection with cloudLibrary access

Staff Report
Edinburg, TX – The Dustin M. Sekula Memorial Library is expanding its digital reach by offering patrons free access to thousands of eBooks and audiobooks through cloudLibrary, a mobile and online reading platform available to all Hidalgo County library cardholders.
Library officials said residents can use their existing cards to borrow digital titles at no cost, giving readers another option to access materials without visiting the building in person. The service allows users to browse, check out and read or listen to books from smartphones, tablets or computers.
To get started, patrons can download the cloudLibrary app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, select Texas and the Hidalgo County library system, then log in using their library card number and four-digit PIN. Once logged in, users can manage their accounts, including borrowed items, reading history and holds.
The service is available through the City of Edinburg Library and Cultural Arts website at cityofedinburg.com/library.
For help setting up an account or recovering a PIN, residents may contact the library at 956-383-6246.
