Edinburg to Host Free Car Seat Checkup and Giveaway Sept. 25

EDINBURG, TX – The Edinburg Municipal Court will host a free car seat checkup and giveaway on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 6 p.m. at 100 E. Freddy Gonzalez Drive.

The event aims to help parents and caregivers ensure their child’s car seats are properly installed and meet current safety standards. Certified technicians will be on-site to guide families on correct installation, demonstrate secure harnessing methods, and determine whether a seat needs replacement.

The program is open exclusively to Edinburg residents, with proof of residency required. Attendance is by appointment only, and both the child and the vehicle must be present for the inspection. Availability is limited.
