Edinburg to Host 5th Annual Firecracker 5K on July 4th

EDINBURG TX – The City of Edinburg will celebrate Independence Day with the 5th annual Firecracker 5K, set for Friday, July 4, at the Ebony Golf Course. The run will begin at 7:30 a.m., with registration currently open online at activeedinburg.com.

Hosted by the Edinburg Parks and Recreation Department, the event offers participants a scenic route and a festive way to start the holiday. The first 300 runners to register will receive a commemorative race shirt.

Packet pickup will be held at the Edinburg Parks and Recreation office, 315 Mark S. Peña Drive, on the following dates:

• Wednesday, July 2: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Thursday, July 3: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Race Day, July 4: 6 a.m. to 7:15 a.m.
