Edinburg Highlights Packed Schedule of Festivals and Events for 2025

EDINBURG TX — The City of Edinburg has unveiled its 2025 lineup of festivals and events, offering a year-long calendar filled with cultural celebrations, sports competitions, and family-friendly activities. Touted as the “City of Festivals,” Edinburg will host events designed to showcase the community’s vibrant heritage, artistic talent, and diverse traditions.

January

The year kicked off with the Día de los Reyes Celebration on Jan. 4 at the Museum of South Texas History, to be followed by the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on Jan. 20 and the 10th Annual Miracle Mile Parade at Richard R. Flores Stadium on Jan. 31.

February

February offers health and entertainment with the 43rd Annual All-America City 10K Run/Walk and 24th Annual Fun Run on Feb. 3. Other highlights include the Ring of the Valley Dance Academy Regional Competition on Feb. 27 andFiesta Edinburg at Bert Ogden Arena from Feb. 28–29.

March

March brings more festive energy with Fiesta Edinburg’s Parade on March 1 in downtown Edinburg. Events such as the 12th Annual Frida Fest (March 8) and the 5th Annual Hometown Heroes Half Marathon (March 9) offer arts and sports enthusiasts plenty to enjoy. The month also features the State of the City Address (March 13) and unique activities like the 10th Annual Cardboard Regatta on March 14.

April

In April, Edinburg gears up for family-friendly fun, starting with Little League Opening Ceremonies on April 3 and the 14th Annual Edinburg UFO Festival from April 5–6 at the Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance. Other notable events include the 4th Annual Dirty Duathlon (April 6) at Doolittle Native Park and the Annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 12. The month closes with the Big Squeeze Accordion Competition on April 25 and the Día de los Niños Celebration on April 26.

May

May’s lineup includes the Senior de Mayo Celebration (May 2), the MatiCES 2025 Dance Concert (May 2–3), and the Mommy & Me Event on May 9. Cultural highlights include Culture Fest (May 17) and a Community Garage Sale on May 24.

June

The summer season kicks off with the South Texas Arts Fair from June 13–14 at the Edinburg Municipal Park. Live music lovers can enjoy the Summer Concert Series starting June 14, followed by family-focused events like theJuneteenth Festival on June 21.

July

Patriotic events dominate July, beginning with the 5th Annual Firecracker Run and 4th of July Independence Day Celebration on July 4. The Summer Concert Series continues with country music on July 12, and Fairy Fest 2025delights children and families on July 26.

August

August brings athletic and community-focused events, including the 5th Annual Triathlon on Aug. 3 and National Night Out on Aug. 5. Music and film fans can attend the Chamber Music Concert (Aug. 22) and the South Texas International Film Festival from Aug. 23–24.

September

September honors patriotism with the 4th Annual 9/11 Patriot Day Memorial Run on Sept. 7 and the International Film Festival running from Sept. 13–15. The month concludes with the Community Garage Sale on Sept. 20.

October

Autumn in Edinburg is filled with festivities like the Fire Stoppers Festival on Oct. 4 and Fandango! on Oct. 17. Halloween-themed events such as Spooktacular 2025 (Oct. 25) and Día de los Muertos Bailan on Oct. 30 bring a seasonal twist to the city’s lineup.

November

November starts with the Veterans Day Parade on Nov. 8 and continues with the 5K Run/Walk in Memory of Sgt. Medina on Nov. 15.

December

The year ends with festive cheer, including the Mayor Richard Molina Tree Lighting Ceremony on Dec. 4 and the Blue Santa Toy Giveaway on Dec. 12.
