EDINBURG TX – The Dustin M. Sekula Memorial Library is offering a full lineup of children’s programs throughout October 2026 at 1906 S. Closner Blvd.
Pre-School Story Time (Ages 3–5) meets Fridays at 10 a.m. with the following schedule:
- Oct. 2 – The Sense of Smell
- Oct. 9 – Dental Hygiene
- Oct. 16 – Celebrating 100 Years of Winnie The Pooh
- Oct. 23 – Día de Los Muertos
- Oct. 30 – Monster Slime & Trick or Treat at the Library
Toddler Time (Ages 0–3) meets Tuesdays at 10 a.m.:
- Oct. 6 – Big and Small
- Oct. 13 – Fall Season
- Oct. 20 – Up and Down
- Oct. 27 – Orange Pumpkins
Sensory Sunday meets Sundays at 3 p.m.:
- Oct. 4 – Squishy Painting
- Oct. 18 – Multi-Textured Art
Homeschool Hour meets Wednesdays at 11 a.m.:
- Oct. 7 – Renewable Energy
- Oct. 14 – Indigenous Peoples’ Day
- Oct. 21 – Children’s Computer Class
- Oct. 28 – The Seasons, The Equinox & The Solstice
Creature Club meets Thursdays at 6 p.m.:
- Oct. 1 – Baby Chicks
- Oct. 8 – World Octopus Day
- Oct. 15 – Snakes
- Oct. 22 – Wolf Appreciation Week
Art Club meets Mondays at 6 p.m.:
- Oct. 12 – Traditional Native People’s Art-Mask
- Oct. 26 – Haunted Art
Interactive Family Night will be held Thursday, Oct. 29, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., featuring bilingual games, hands-on activities and read-alouds by UTRGV Early Childhood Education.
