Edinburg ACE Center to Offer New Beginner Adult Workshops in September

Edinburg TX – The Edinburg ACE Center, in partnership with the Edinburg Arts Foundation, will offer a lineup of beginner adult studio and dance workshops in September, featuring new instructors Gloria Reyes and Juan Vallejo.

A Beginner Adult Folklórico Dance workshop, focused on adult bachata, will be held Tuesday, Sept. 8, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., taught by instructor Iridian Tienda. No partner or dance background is required, and participant capacity is 16.

A Beginner Adult Metal Working workshop, designed to craft chainmail earrings, will be held Wednesday, Sept. 9, from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., taught by instructor Gloria Reyes. A second Metal Working session, designed to craft a personalized metal tag, will be held Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., also taught by Reyes. Both sessions have a participant capacity of 12, and all materials are provided.

A Beginner Adult Air Dry Clay workshop, designed to craft a jar with lid, will be held Tuesday, Sept. 8, with two sessions available: 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., taught by instructor Juan Vallejo. Participant capacity is 15, and completed pieces can be picked up Wednesday, Sept. 9.

Each workshop costs $35, a one-time purchase per participant. The metal working and clay workshops are designated as “Craft & Pour” sessions, allowing participants to bring their own craft wine and beverages.
