Edinburg Fire Department to Host Citizens Fire Academy in September

Edinburg TX – The Edinburg Fire Department is accepting registration for its Citizens Fire Academy, a free program offering residents a behind-the-scenes look at the department’s work, according to the department.

The first class will run two weeks, meeting Monday through Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., from Sept. 14-17 and Sept. 21-24. Graduation is set for Sept. 24.

The program is free, but spots are limited, and the registration deadline is Aug. 31. Residents can register by scanning the QR code provided by the department.
