Edinburg Kicks Off Summer Concert Series Saturday with Hot Rodz, La Dezz, and Mike Gonzalez and The Iconiczz

Edinburg TX – The City of Edinburg Cultural Arts department will launch its 2026 Summer Concert Series this Saturday, May 30, at the Promenade Park Amphitheater, 200 W. McIntyre St., with a free outdoor concert running from 7 to 11 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The evening will feature three performers representing a range of South Texas musical styles, with Mayor Omar Ochoa and City Council members offering remarks at 7:05 p.m. before the music begins.

The Lineup

Opening the evening at 7:10 p.m. is The Hot Rodz, described as a crowd favorite known for high-energy classic rock and 80s hits, party anthems, and popular dance tunes.

Taking the stage at 8:05 p.m. is La Dezz, a San Antonio-based group celebrated for their dynamic Tejano sound. Formed by seasoned industry veterans, La Dezz blends traditional and modern Tejano music with romantic ballads and upbeat hits.

Headlining at 9:15 p.m. is Mike Gonzalez and The Iconiczz, a group dedicated to carrying on the legacy of Jimmy Gonzalez and Grupo Mazz. The band honors the iconic Jimmy G sound while bringing fresh energy to one of Tejano music’s most influential catalogs.

About the Series

The Summer Concert Series is described as a seasonal community celebration bringing live music, entertainment, and family-friendly experiences to the heart of the city throughout the summer. Admission is free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and arrive early for parking and seating. Food vendors will be on site throughout the evening.
