Edinburg Police announce women’s self-defense course with 3-day training schedule starting next week

EDINBURG, Texas – The Edinburg Police Department is preparing to host a women’s self-defense course designed to provide participants with knowledge and skills to defend themselves through lectures, discussions and hands-on training.
The 12-hour course will take place over three days and will conclude with a real-life scenario simulation. The training is open to females ages 18 and older.
Course Schedule and Location
The course is scheduled for April 21, April 22 and April 23 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Edinburg Police Training Facility, 1313 N. Doolittle Rd.
Participants are advised to wear comfortable clothing and footwear in preparation for hands-on training activities.
