Edinburg, TX – City of Edinburg splash pads are scheduled to reopen March 13 as the Parks and Recreation Department launches the seasonal water feature schedule in time for spring break. The splash pads will operate daily during the spring break period, providing extended hours for families and children seeking outdoor recreation.

Spring break schedule

According to information released by the City of Edinburg Parks and Recreation Department, the splash pads will be open daily during spring break from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The daily schedule is intended to accommodate increased park activity during the school holiday period.

City officials indicated the seasonal reopening marks the start of the splash pad operating season for 2026. The water features are designed as recreational cooling areas for children and families during warmer weather.

Weekend operations

After spring break concludes, the splash pads will transition to a weekend operating schedule. Facilities will be open Fridays through Sundays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The weekend schedule will remain in place through June 1. Parks officials said the adjusted hours allow continued access to the water play areas while maintaining seasonal operations across the city’s park system.
