Edinburg, TX – The City of Edinburg Cultural Arts Division and Conceptos Dance Ensemble will present the 2026 Rio Grande Valley Dance Regional Competition on Feb. 21.

The event will take place from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, at the Edinburg Arts, Culture, and Events Center, 315 W. McIntyre St.

Event details

The public competition will feature traditional and contemporary dance performances by students from across the Rio Grande Valley. Organizers state the event highlights the region’s cultural heritage through a variety of dance presentations.

Admission is $5. Children under 10 will be admitted free. Tickets may be purchased online at edinburgarts.com/dancefestival or at the door on the day of the event. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Concessions will be offered.

Volunteer opportunities

Organizers are seeking volunteers to assist with check-in, ushering, stage support and general event operations. Individuals may volunteer for part of the day or the full event. A volunteer registration form is available online.
