Sekula Memorial Library continues free adult programs through end of January

Edinburg, TX – The Dustin M. Sekula Memorial Library will continue offering free adult programs through the remainder of January, with activities ranging from technology classes to wellness and hands-on workshops.

Library officials said the programs are designed to provide educational, creative and recreational opportunities for adults in the community at no cost.

Technology and creative workshops

Remaining computer classes include a bilingual Intro to Computers session and an English-language session scheduled for Monday, Jan. 12, at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., respectively. A File Management computer class is also scheduled for Monday, Jan. 26, focusing on organizing and managing digital files.

Creative programming continues with Dusty’s Crafters: DIY Satin Hand Scrub on Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 2 p.m., offering participants a guided, hands-on craft activity.

Wellness and lifestyle activities

Line Dancing and Wellness sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 13, and Tuesday, Jan. 20, both at 2 p.m. The sessions are designed to promote physical activity and social engagement in a relaxed setting.

On Saturday, Jan. 17, at noon, the library will host a DIY Vision Board workshop, giving participants an opportunity to reflect on personal goals and create visual plans for the year ahead.

Nature-focused programs close out the month
A DIY Bird Feeder workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 20, at 6 p.m., followed by a House Plant Workshop on Saturday, Jan. 31, at noon. Both programs are intended to encourage sustainable and nature-focused hobbies.
