Library to Host Virtual Visit With ‘Wimpy Kid’ Author Jeff Kinney

Edinburg, TX – Young readers and families will have a chance to meet one of the world’s best-known children’s authors — virtually — during a special event at the Dustin M. Sekula Memorial Library on Friday, Dec. 19.

The library’s Children’s Department will host a free virtual visit with Jeff Kinney, creator of the bestselling “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” series. The event begins at 11 a.m. and is part of Mackin’s Storyteller Spotlight program.

During the session, Kinney will guide viewers through a tour of the Wimpy Kid studio, followed by a drawing demonstration and a question-and-answer segment. The library is inviting parents, homeschoolers and young fans to attend the virtual visit in person at the Children’s Department.

The program is open to the public at no cost.
