Teens, tweens get full October slate at Sekula Library

Edinburg, TX – Dustin M. Sekula Memorial Library has set a monthlong lineup of free activities for ages 11–18, with no registration required and materials provided.

The schedule includes:

• Chess Day — Saturday, Oct. 12, 2 p.m.
• Family Movie Day — Saturday, Oct. 19, 2 p.m. (snacks while supplies last)
• Painting Class — Tuesday, Oct. 21, 6:30 p.m.
• Halloween Pool Noodle Candles — Wednesday, Oct. 22, 6:30 p.m.
• Felt Chocolate Frog craft — Tuesday, Oct. 28, 6:30 p.m.

Programs take place at 1906 S. Closner Blvd. For details, contact the Reference Department at (956) 383-6246. The library’s teen programming is part of the City of Edinburg Library & Cultural Arts effort to encourage creativity and enrichment outside the classroom.
