Healthy cooking takes the spotlight at library’s vegetarian recipes demo Oct. 30

Edinburg, TX – Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library will host a free program on vegetarian cooking and its health benefits on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 10 a.m. at 1906 S. Closner Blvd.

The session will be led by Joanne Armijo with the Prairie View A&M University Extension program, which provides family and community health education across Texas. Attendees will learn simple vegetarian and vegan recipe ideas and tips for incorporating more fruits, vegetables and whole grains into daily meals.

The program is part of the library’s ongoing health and wellness offerings for the community. For details, call the library at 956-383-6246.
