Edinburg to Host Film-Friendly Workshop Aug. 30

EDINBURG, TX – The City of Edinburg Cultural Arts Division will present the “Edinburg On Camera Workshop” on Saturday, Aug. 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Edinburg ACE Center, 315 W. McIntyre St.
The event will guide filmmakers and local business owners through the process of applying to film at city-approved locations, understanding application requirements, and identifying Edinburg sites ready for production. Business owners will also learn how to have their properties listed as potential filming locations to participate in the city’s film-friendly business program.
The workshop will run from 11 a.m. to noon, followed by a networking hour from noon to 1 p.m. Complimentary coffee and pastries will be available. Attendees are encouraged to bring notebooks or laptops for note-taking.
The Edinburg Cultural Arts Division, in partnership with the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce and Edinburg Arts Foundation, works to promote the city as a hub for creative industries and cultural engagement.
