TONIGHT — Edinburg to Host Send-Off Ceremony for Little League and Softball All-Star Teams

EDINBURG, TX – The City of Edinburg will host a special send-off ceremony Thursday afternoon to honor three hometown Little League and softball teams advancing to sectional tournaments after winning their respective Valley District Championships.

The event is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Edinburg Parks and Recreation facility, located at 315 Mark S. Peña Drive. The public is invited to attend and cheer on the athletes as they represent Edinburg in the next round of competition.

The teams advancing are:

• 🥎 11-12 Year Old Softball – Edinburg Red, traveling to Alice
• ⚾ 11-12 Year Old Baseball – Edinburg Red, hosting sectionals in Edinburg
• ⚾ 13-14 Year Old Juniors – Edinburg, competing in Laredo

City officials and community members will gather to celebrate the teams’ accomplishments and wish them success as they move forward. The event highlights the city’s commitment to youth sports and community spirit.
