EDINBURG, TX — A woman was hospitalized after her Ford Mustang collided with a Department of Public Safety (DPS) unit at the intersection of University Drive and 16th Avenue in Edinburg on Saturday morning.
According to Edinburg Police and DPS officials, the crash occurred when the Mustang, traveling southbound, attempted a left turn onto University Drive and struck the DPS vehicle. The trooper involved was not injured, but the Mustang driver was transported to a local hospital as a precaution. Authorities have not released information regarding her condition or whether charges will be filed.
