Edinburg Chamber to Host Luncheon on Business Valuations
Staff Report
The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce will host a Public Affairs Luncheon focusing on business and valuations on Sept. 19, 2024. The event, featuring representatives from the Hidalgo County Appraisal District, will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This installment of the Public Affairs Series: Business & Valuations will include a forum with key figures from the appraisal district, providing valuable insights on the business valuation process and its impact on the local economy.
The event marks a historic moment for the county, as the board members of the Hidalgo County Appraisal District were elected by voters for the first time in early 2024. This change allowed voters to fill three seats on the district’s Board of Directors, giving residents a more direct voice in the property tax system. Speakers for the luncheon include Rolando Garza, Paul Villarreal, Karina Cardoza, and Veronica “Ronnie” Ontiveros.
Local business owners and community members are encouraged to attend and engage with the discussion on property valuations and the implications for businesses in the area.
Tickets and table reservations can be made by calling (956) 383-4974.
