EDINBURG, Texas – July 4, 2024 — The Edinburg Police Department is inviting community members to join them for coffee and conversation at two upcoming ‘Coffee with a Cop’ events this month. The initiative is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to strengthen relationships with residents and promote community policing.
The first session will take place on July 9, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Starbucks located at 2720 W. University Drive. The second meetup is scheduled for July 15, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Starbucks at 525 E. Trenton Road.
Starbucks, a key sponsor of the Edinburg Police Department’s National Night Out event on August 6, will host both sessions. This collaboration provides an additional platform to engage with the community and foster open communication between residents and police officers.
The ‘Coffee with a Cop’ events offer a relaxed environment for attendees to ask questions, share concerns, and get to know the officers who serve their community. The Edinburg Police Department encourages all residents to participate and take advantage of this opportunity to build a stronger community bond.
