Edinburg Police Department to Host Women’s Self-Defense Course July 1-3

EDINBURG, Texas  — The Edinburg Police Department is set to host a Women’s Self-Defense Course from July 1 to July 3, aimed at empowering women with the knowledge and skills necessary to defend themselves in case of an attack. The three-day course will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Edinburg Training Facility located at 1309 N. Doolittle Rd.

This course is exclusively for females aged 18 and over and is part of the Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) systems, a nationally recognized program that focuses on realistic self-defense tactics and techniques. Participants will engage in hands-on training and are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and footwear.

“The Edinburg Police Department is committed to empowering women in our community,” said a department representative. “This self-defense course is designed to provide practical defense techniques and increase confidence in personal safety.”
