Edinburg Police Department Launches “Movies with a Cop” Series

Edinburg, TX — The Edinburg Police Department will start its new summer program called “Movies with a Cop” to build positive relationships between law enforcement and local residents. The Friday night events will off outdoor movies for families in a safe and enjoyable environment to gather and watch films.

Each Friday at 8 p.m., from May 31 through August 2, Edinburg Municipal Park Field #1 will host a different family-friendly movie. The park will be set up as an outdoor cinema, inviting families to bring blankets, chairs, and snacks to enhance their movie-watching experience.

The next movie, Trolls, is set for June 7.

This event is free and open to the public. In addition to the film screenings, attendees can enjoy pre-screening activities and have the opportunity to interact with members of the Edinburg Police Department, fostering a sense of community and trust.
