Vehicle Crashes into El Patio Cafe; No Injuries Reported

Edinburg, TX, November 14, 2023 — On Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at approximately 4 p.m., Edinburg Police Department officers responded to a report of a one-vehicle accident at El Patio Cafe, at 2207 S. Closner Blvd. The incident involved a vehicle colliding with the restaurant’s building.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers confirmed that there were no injuries resulting from the accident. Fortunately, there were no patrons inside the establishment at the time of the incident. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) was called to the location to assess the well-being of the female driver. Additionally, the Edinburg Fire Department assisted in inspecting the building’s structural integrity before facilitating the removal of the vehicle.

There is no suspicion of intoxication in connection with the incident, and the driver fully cooperated with the responding officers. The quick response of emergency services ensured the safety of those involved and prevented any injuries.
