Trashy Tuesdays Every Tuesday In December In Edinburg
EDINBURG, TX – Tuesdays aren’t just for tacos; they’re for trash too! Beginning Tuesday, December 6th, Edinburg residents will be able to discard all their unwanted household waste, brush, and bulky items for FREE every Tuesday between 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM during the month of December!

All Edinburg residents may utilize the City owned landfill to dispose of their own personally generated household waste, to include brush, appliances, junk and/or lawn trimmings, at NO COST.
If you’re unable to drop off your trash on Tuesdays, you can always stop by our city-owned landfill, which is open year-round, Monday through Saturday.

Landfill requirements:
- City of Edinburg Resident
- Valid ID to show proof of residency with most recent City utilities bill (NAWS and SWSC)
- Maximum of 2 loads per household
- All loads must be tarped under Texas State law
- No commercial vehicles or landscaping companies
Prohibited materials include:
- Explosive, toxic or regulated hazardous waste
- Closed drums
- Lead acid batteries
- PCP containing materials
- Items containing CFCs
- Used motor vehicle oils or filters
- Liquid waste
- Untreated medical waste
- Whole or scrap tires
- Septic tank pumpings or unauthorized sludges and
- Radioactive materials
