Property tax exemption clinics set across Hidalgo County

Edinburg TX – The Hidalgo County Appraisal District will host Property Tax Exemption Clinics across Hidalgo County to educate property owners about exemptions and rights available under Texas law.

Appraisal district staff will be on-site at each clinic to provide eligibility review, guidance, application assistance, and to answer questions from property owners.

The first clinic is scheduled for Friday, May 1, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Precinct 2 Indoor Sports Complex in Pharr. Media and the public are invited to attend.

Requirements

Property owners must bring a Texas driver’s license or Texas-issued identification card that corresponds to the property for which an exemption is claimed in the application.
